Introduction
I. COMPLIANCE WITH SAFE WORK PRACTICES AND ESTABLISHED SAFETY GUIDELINES Includes an
- understanding and application of standard safety precautions
- ability to select and use appropriate personal protective equipment, and necessary safety equipment
- demonstration of good laboratory hygiene and infection control practices
- ability to explain various disinfection and sterilization techniques, and apply them appropriately
- Knowledge and practice of safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals routinely used in the clinical laboratory setting
- Compliance with laboratory, and legislated safety practices
