
Dr. Cheluchi Onyemelukwe obtained her doctorate in law from Dalhousie University, with a special focus on health law, ethics and policy. She also has a First Class Honours Degree in Law from the University of Nigeria and is a member of the Bar in Nigeria.
She has taught and researched health law and policy at the Schulich School of Law, Dalhousie University. She has been a Killam Scholar, and has held a Canadian Institutes of Health Research Training Program Fellowship and a Dalhousie University Research Scholarship. She has written, presented, and published papers in various areas of health law, ethics and policy.
Her current research interests include neuroethics, research involving humans, mental health law, health law and policy in developing countries, and more broadly, governance and regulation.
