Medical Lab Technologist Competencies
The following are universal, foundational domains that describe competencies pre-licensure MLTs will be expected to demonstrate upon graduation.
The entry level medical laboratory technologist is expected to exhibit a certain level of knowledge and skill in a variety of areas and disciplines. Although different disciplines require their own specific knowledge and skills, a number of competencies are considered cross-disciplinary, and may be routinely applied in all specialties.
